Geocaching

Anybody heard of it? I was reading through fark and there was some story about a train station going onto a bomb alert when a geocache was discovered near its tracks.

Did a bit of googling and it sounds like a lot of fun, and it seems like there are a ton of geocaches in SOMD.

It's a lot of fun. It's an entertaining way to get outside and explore - there's a prize at the end of every exploration.

I played for a while ... then I just stopped. There are lots of caches around the SOMD area and some of them are quite hard to find.

Any one who has a GPS should give it a try!

Been doing of and on for about 4 years, lots of fun outdoors and the kids can join in and have a great time.

Yup been around a while, anyone that is into survialist type stuff I am sure has heard of it.

Well, I went out on my lunch break and found one: Geocaching.com Error

Kinda cool, I never even knew that that VFW was there. Granted that one was really really easy, it was a ton of fun!

I also went out to try and find this one: GCQ2ZV - A Traditional Cache in Maryland, United States called So You Think You've Seen It All created by Goldenhawk

which is located near the St. Mary's Airport. Couldn't find it though. I guess I should get a GPS.
