Just started tuning into 104.1. Its now called George 104 and they play 70/80's music. I didn't hear any commercials all the way down. They will probably go under for lack of funding due to non-advertising. Enjoy it while it lasts.

If this is a repeat thread, I apologize in advance. I will take my deserved beating!

I love this station!! They are playing 104 days commercial free.

Is this anything like 102.7 "Jack-FM" from Baltimore? It sounds like a podcast and there are no DJ's, just a commercial break now and then. Great format, great music! I will have to check this one out.

Might be like 102.7. You are right. I like the classic 104.1 was playing but 70/80's is much more my flavor.

Jack plays those "old" songs no one else plays. Takes me back to high school on my dreary commute. :dance: I'm glad to hear it's catching on.

They did the same thing when it became Z-104 about a hundred years ago. Except they played techno and house music, before turning into a pop station, before turning into a soft rock station before going back to pop and then dying a horrible death.

Anyway, they didn't have any DJ's or any advertizing, and then suddenly - overnight - they had DJ and commericals.

They're probably digging up advertisers and DJ's even as we speak.




As long as they don't steal Mojo, I'm good.
