Georgia House Votes To Strip Delta Of $35 Million Tax Credit For Flipping On Election Law Support

The Georgia state House passed an amendment Wednesday that would strip Delta Air Lines of a multimillion-dollar tax break after the company blasted the state’s new election laws.

Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed into law last week a bill overhauling his state’s election procedures designed to increase security and address issues that surrounded the 2020 election. Delta initially supported key measures of the legislation after it was signed, then backtracked days later amid calls for boycotts pushed by left-wing publications.

TLDR:

  • Delta, like most Democrat run corporations, doesn't pay its fair share in taxes.
  • They also, like most Democrats, want to bitch and cry "racist" about having to show ID when voting.
  • AND they think it's racist to have deadlines for voting.
  • This makes Delta racist AF because in fact they make everyone show a photo ID when using their service, AND they have deadlines for boarding their planes and will not wait for late passengers.
And last but not least, the Delta CEO is an incredibly tonedeaf hypocrite that he would die on such a ridiculous hill.

Wasn’t there a dust up between Delta and Georgia legislators a couple years ago over something political where funding was threatened? Just do it already.

I looked at the law. What is so bad about it .?

Are the crybabies all upset just because its a new law. They had a lot of issues in the last election so they fixed them.

ViacomCBS Slams Georgia Voter Integrity Law, Claims It Impedes ‘Equal Right to Vote’

ViacomCBS is the first major Hollywood studio to speak out against Georgia’s voter integrity law, claiming without citing evidence that the legislation intended to fight voter fraud actually impedes the “equal right to vote.” The media conglomerate, which owns Paramount Pictures and the CBS network, stopped short of endorsing the left’s demands to boycott the state.

Watch Jen Psaki Blatantly Lie Her Head Off, Doubling Down on Joe Biden's Lies on Georgia Law

It wasn’t forcing anyone to shut down at five, it was setting that as a minimum business day for early voting and the hours on Election Day stayed the same, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

According to Fox:

“Biden framed his complaint in terms of a slap at working people,” The Post’s Glenn Kessler wrote. “The law would ‘end voting at five o’clock when working people are just getting off work’ or ‘ends voting hours early so working people can’t cast their vote after their shift is over.'”
“Many listeners might assume he was talking about voting on Election Day, not early voting. But Election Day hours were not changed. As for early voting, the law made a modest change, replacing a vague ‘normal business hours’ — presumed to be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — to a more specific 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. time period. But that’s the minimum.”

On top of that, the claim about food and water was also full of malarkey. What it prohibited was campaign workers from doing that, i.e. effectively using it as an opportunity to electioneer people while in line. It doesn’t prevent poll workers from providing water. The law will also directly cut down wait times, also meaning people will be less likely to need any refreshment.

But, in any event, for Joe Biden to suggest that any of this is somehow Jim Crow is beyond insulting and diminishing of the real evils of Jim Crow laws.

So when Jen Psaki was asked about the question during her briefing today, you would think that perhaps she try to explain away Biden’s lies or back away from them.

Instead, she defended his lies, repeating them again.

Four Pinocchios: WaPo Fact-Checker Blows Up Lies About Georgia's Voting Law

"The net effect was to expand opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them." What a departure from the hysteria. Biden had railed against the "sick" and "un-American" law, complaining that it "ends voting hours early," which he called an insult to working people. But that's not what the law did at all, the Post clarified: "Biden framed his complaint in terms of a slap at working people. Many listeners might assume he was talking about voting on Election Day, not early voting. But Election Day hours were not changed." Early voting was expanded, not restricted, and voting hours were not curtailed. Another ridiculous charge rocketing around the internet is that Georgia has "banned" food and water near polling places, as voters are waiting in line to cast ballots. This simply is not true, as we addressed yesterday (among other things, the law actually works to reduce these lines). Republican strategist Josh Holmes raised this same correct point on "Fox News Sunday," and promptly got slapped with a "mostly false" so-called "fact-check" from the notoriously left-leaning PolitiFact organization. Holmes and allies exposed how PolitiFact distorted what he actually argued in order to arrive at a negative truth rating:

The article itself isn’t as blatantly propagandistic, though it does give activists a platform for spreading continued misinformation and asking corporations to hurt the people of Georgia due to their elected officials’ political decisions. The CBS tweet said the article contained “3 ways companies can help fight Georgia’s restrictive new voting law,” but the article claims those three points are simply what activists are “asking for.”

CBS falsely presents Georgia’s new voting reform, claiming the bill contains “a measure that requires voters to present a photo ID when voting by mail.” This is untrue. The bill requires people to list their driver’s license or state voting card number on their absentee ballot. Such numbers are required for numerous official government forms.

The CBS article also accepts activist alarmism that limiting the time people have to request an absentee ballot and where ballot drop boxes can be placed amounts to racist voter suppression, even though a Washington Post fact check found that experts the newspaper spoke to said “the net effect [of the law] was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them.”

Oh, you mean some workers in New York City (which is being discussed as a possible relocation site for the all-star game) will benefit despite the fact that New York has stricter voting laws than Georgia? Makes sense, right?

But it’s really the callousness of this answer that gets me. It tells you exactly what Biden, Democrats, and the broader left think of American workers and business owners. They aren’t individual people with individual lives that can be impacted by garbage rhetoric and policy decisions. Rather, they are just cogs in the machine. As long as a set number of people jump in to make widgets, Biden and his flacks couldn’t care less what happens to everyone else. It’s a gross way to deal with matters, but it’s what always happens as government power expands to the point of absurdity. Things become impersonal and soulless, with a focus on the “greater good” than on how things affect the lives of real people.

Nothing. That's why the Marxists including the lying sack of chit in the White House have to make up a bunch of lies about it. And most Americans are retarded, so they'll believe what the TV tells them rather than look up the damn thing and read it themselves.

These are the same retarded Americans who think black people don't have a photo ID.

Have you ever seen "The Manchurian Candidate"? The original, with Frank Sinatra? Joe Biden reminds me of John Iselin - this blithering idiot who is controlled completely and totally by foreign enemies of America, who spews ridiculous lies that he can't keep straight even with a freaking teleprompter that he only has to read.

The Babylon Bee Fact-Checks 9 Claims About The Georgia Election Law

There are a lot of wild claims out there about the new election reform law in Georgia. Here are the claims and here are the facts about the law.
....

CLAIM: The law reduces voting locations to just one polling place hidden in a maze where you must fight a minotaur.
FACT: True. You can also just answer the minotaur’s riddle.

CLAIM: The law declares that voting for Democrats is treason and makes it punishable by death.
FACT: Mostly true. However, the sentence is only life in prison if one can prove the vote for a Democrat was unintentional.

CLAIM: The law reduces early voting.
FACT: False. It actually expands early voting. In fact, you can vote for Trump 2024 right now.

Dems: 'We Will Not Legitimize Georgia's Racist Election Law By Reading It To See What It Says'

While that is satire, the truth is they don't want to discuss the facts because they would be humiliated.
Their arguments are either outright lie or racist.
