GERD, possible Barrett's esophagus

My GP says I need to see a gastro doctor. I've had problems for fours years now with GERD. It has improved with meds and better diet but is still seriously painful. Chest pain in the center of my chest. Heart and lungs have been checked out and they are fine. Four years ago I had an endoscopy and doc saw an eroded spot at the lower portion of my esophagus and they thought it might be Barrett's esophagus. It wasn't Barrett's at that time but they said it was serious. So if you had to see a really knowledgeable gastro doc who would you go to? thank you.

Dr Kankaria. I have issues with Barrett's and esophogeal spasms. Couldn't get any help for about 3 years. Went to see him based on recommendations from ER nurses. Within 3 months he had me fixed up.
