Their priority is to get as much as they can for their state so they can get re-elected. Scratch my back and I will scratch yours, is all that they are playing in DC.

Actually reading down that list there are some good programs on there. Remember this is a political orginazition even though it is non partisian Im sure they sensationalize as much as possible to get their message across, so take what you see with a grain of salt.
