High-risk women living in Belmont County, Ohio, could have a new source of income, television station WTOV reported.

The Belmont County Department of Job and Family Services is looking into the possibility of paying women not to get pregnant, according to Director Dwayne Pielech.

And in Europe, women are paid to have babies. The birth dearth is skewing the demographics to an old population. Not enough people to pay taxes for their version of Social Security. In Germany, their is a proposal to cut the retirement benefits to people who have no children, the idea being that they have no one to pay the taxes to fund the retirement. Over there, the Government pension is for everyone no matter where they worked, ie, no private pension, no 401K.

Which highlights other problems with social/entitlement spending for retirement. Either too many or too few babies born will cause problems at different times. Which is also our real problem w/ social security. Its not because of being raided or anything else. It is that we have people who not only are living longer but the baby boom generation is about to start drawing on it (larger working class to what there is now).
