Ghost rider

It seems very good. Nicolas Cage is my favorite actor and Ghost Rider seems to be an edgy, entertaining superhero action-thriller. I'll definitely see it in theatres.

Too bad it's not "R"-rated, though. A movie about a motorcycle-riding skeleton kicking demon ass doesn't sound "PG-13"-caliber to me.

True but the younger generation needs to be able to see it also. If they want a bigger turnout, they got to hit all ages.

You're definitely right. It was obvious Ghost Rider would be "PG-13" from the moment it was greenlit. These action-filled, effects-laden epics (especially one with a star as high-profile as Nic Cage) just cost way too much for the studio to allow a too-restrictive MPAA rating. They need the teen dollar.

Then again, for lower-budget thrillers, I believe it's a smart move to be "R" in this day and age. For example, the Saw franchise is so big because people who are tired of sanitized, tween-friendly scarefests know they'll get a wild, no-holds-barred ride for the price of admisison.
