I was in a busy eatery in PF and overheard a conversation between two guys working in the construction field in PF. One guy said that the whole reconstruction of the intersection of Rt.4 and Dares Beach Road was a complete RUSE!!!! That large ditch is being excavated because Rick and Marty Lagina have possible credible 14th Century information (that was uncovered in a cave located in a remote village in what is now known as Italy) that Christopher Columbus' brother, Darius, (nicknamed Dares) buried about 78 pounds of Gold (taken from the far East) at that exact location!!!! Apparently, a deal was cut with sitting County Commissioners that if found the Laginas would allow a shopping center with a monorail to be built in the County. Well, who could turn down that opportunity!!

So, coincidentally, the Curse of Oak Island will return to the discovery channel this Thursday. :faint:

I spent many years off and on, working in a tiny village in Norway; Hyen...at the very head of Hyenfjord, not 100 Km north of Bergen. Their claim to fame?..they swear up and down that Columbus was born there.

If you look close to that rock, you can see a visible hand print in it. Don't touch that rock without gloves. Otherwise you risk a horrible case of the crabs. At least that is the legend.

I heard that to and the big hole on the right going towards the bowling alley on Plum Point road they found another Templar cross and bone fragments from what they think is Henry the first who would of known

That was widely held up to about 1934 when Dr. Stanley Feebish, the second cousin of Gordon Bowen, went to Oxford England and met with Sir Larry Johnston at the "Our Lady of Inadvertant Flatulence" Church. There, it was learned that Henry the First was not bestowed by that title as his father was quite the philanderer and sired many other children. He was a modern day "Gigolo" and is wasn't suspected that Little Hank would have his father's genetic coding. Feebish then set out to find descendants and in Hallow Creek Kentucky found lineage to Henry. Hanks descendants borrowed 12.75 from Feebish, which was never repaid.
