Probably someone had a launch mishap...left the plug out. The boat ramp is a great source of entertainment on most summer weekends.

I've shown up in countries without the right laptop adapter on more than one occasion. The correct way to deal with that problem is to cut the plug off your power cord and strip back about 1/2" of insulation on each wire. All my laptops I've owned since God was still a kid have power supplies that accept either without "switching" anything. I carry a bunch of wall socket plug adapters with me everywhere I go.Gee all the computers I've had have 120 or 240volt switch in them .
