YORK, Pennsylvania (AP) -- A 2-year-old girl died after being beaten with a video game controller by her mother's boyfriend, and new charges are expected, police said Tuesday.


Darisabel Baez died Monday. Her mother's boyfriend said he beat the 2-year-old but didn't explain why, police said.

Darisabel Baez was pronounced dead late Monday at Hershey Medical Center, police Lt. Ron Camacho said.

Why do you find it necessary to point out color of thiscrimals skin? It has no bearing on anything. The only thing you accomplish by posting this picture is furthering the stereotype that black people are criminals.

If a white person committed the crime would you have posted their picture? Probably not. This is what makes you a racist. The fact that you are more than willing to point out that a black man committed the crime.

This is a horrible thing that happened. This guy deserves to be punished but his race should not be brought up in this conversation.

Okay, I think this needs to be said... I don't like that Lenny posted that photo in the context of his comments. But I'm not willing to jump out there, not knowing the first thing about him and deem him a racist. On both sides of the problem are people willing to jump to conclusions that are probably not based in any fact. Simply emotional.

A child was butchered and all we can do is point fingers at each other. I'm not really sure which I'm more sickened with. Or maybe embarrassed is a better term.
