Girl Touched Sexually By Student At Central Florida Day Care

The girl, her brother and a 6-year-old boy were playing in a concrete tunnel on the playground of Planet Kids, which is located on Reed Canal Road in South Daytona, when the 6-year-old boy touched the girl in a sexual manner, according to DCF officials.

The children were playing "doctor" when the alleged incident occurred

I worked in a residential treatment center for abused kids. They start at age 5. Every one of the 5 year olds had a history of abusing other younger children sexually. It is horrifying, but it does happen. All the 5 year olds in the program had been abused by adults before they turned on other children.

Agreed, IF there has been foul play in the child’s life, then there with be an escalation and the child will grow up to be an abuser as well.

It does not say how he touched her. And if it was my girl I wouldn't care how old the kid was I would be pissed and the daycare providers and the child's parents.

Are you saying no boy ever got a hand full of your rear or chest when you were a kid??

This goes back to a "below the belt" theory for me. Kids are curious, but not necessarily sexually. Potentially, "exploration" may have been more the issue - but sexual nature cannot be ruled out until background and questioning take place. If they were comparing body parts, any other body parts, it most likely would not be of concern. Even touching each other - arms, waists, etc.. I'd be interested to know what "sexual manner" means.

Children need to know, from their parents, that it is simply inappropriate and will not be tolerated. Although penises and vaginas are parts of the whole, our society wants to prevent casual contact, and therefore premature sex.

When I was a pup, if the girl didn't want to be touch, she cold cocked the boy and that was it. :shrug:

Well...since the idea of children growing up and playing in the neighborhood has been destroyed by modern ideals, it only stands to reason that the same actions will be carried out at the daycare centers where you hire people to raise your kids for you.
