Climate activist Steven Spielberg's private jet has burned $116,000 worth of jet fuel in two months

Spielberg criticized Americans who 'go blithely through life' without worrying about their carbon footprint in 2018

A private jet belonging to Steven Spielberg has burned more than $116,000 worth of jet fuel since June despite the famous Hollywood director's past warnings about global warming, according to a flight tracking database.

Spielberg's plane, a Gulfstream G650, has burned at least $116,159 worth of jet fuel over the course of 16 trips spanning nearly 17,000 miles since June 23, according to flight tracking data from ADS-B Exchange and compiled by the database Celebrity Jets. The figures are likely an underestimate since the database didn't calculate fuel and distance metrics of at least three trips made by Spielberg's jet.

However, Spielberg has previously stated that global warming "terrified" him and ripped people who "go blithely through life" without caring about their impact on the environment.

Again, they don't care if you point out their hypocrisy. It's very similar to how NOW didn't care that Bill Clinton was a serial sexual harasser, and in fact joined the dog pile on his accusers. Their political cult is everything and they have no principles or beliefs other than "Party First".

Harrison Ford frequent flier on private jets despite climate change activism

Ford said people must 'cry out for justice' during a climate conference last year

Ford's private jet, a multimillion-dollar Cessna Citation Sovereign, has made at least eight trips stretching roughly 5,284 miles and emitting about 35 metric tons of carbon dioxide in less than two months, according to data from ADS-B Exchange and Celebrity Jets.

Ford, however, has made regular appearances at global climate conferences, calling upon individuals and government leaders to support efforts to reduce emissions and prevent disastrous global warming.

Typical leftie. If not for double standards, they'd have none at all.

MOST of these blow-hards do not practice what they preach, which makes their credibility worth next to nothing. If you believed littering destroyed the environment, you wouldn't toss your crap out the door. There ARE a few who attempt or even make a good hard effort to DO what they preach. Ed Begley Jr. comes to mind. Mind you - he's looney with a capital L. But his home is small and powered by wind, he has a composting toilet and drives a Prius. He uses public transportation and rides a hybrid electric bike - frequently.

He does as he says.

But wait! There's more!

The 37-year-old allegedly sent a Range Rover, a separate vehicle, back to Montecito to collect his polo equipment for the event that featured his longtime polo pal Nacho Figueras.

SUPER eco-friendly! What a....prince.....

Now, I think it IS fair to at least say THIS - these Hollywood types who go to great lengths to preach to the public about global warming (sorry - I refuse to acknowledge "climate change" as a term, unless it's germane to the discussion - because the warming of the planet IS the central argument) - they believe if they can influence a thousand or a million others or change policy for a nation - the NET result is better, and it minimizes their own actions.

I don't buy it. Again, if I thought eating meat was contributing to global warming - I'd stop eating it. I wouldn't preach to the world to stop and yet continue, myself. If I wanted a world that used less energy - I'd show them how *I* do it. I'd build a house that used green energy and I'd show people how to minimize their carbon footprint.

I wouldn't waste my time flapping my gums telling everyone to STOP while doing NOTHING to actually stop, myself. Why can't these guys at least, fly first class? Why do they have to fly private jets? What do they want everyone to do? Buy electric cars? And yet, the electricity to make this is still made the same way.

Natural gas, we have in enormous abundance, and it is not "green" but it is a lot greener than other fossil fuels. And we insist on shutting it down.

If the call is switch everything to electric what will we do with all the natural gas we have .?

Could they secretly use it to generate electricity. :sshrug:

It will go overseas. As long as they burn it over there, it's not contributing to our carbon footprint.
