GMP speed upgrade?

chaotic

This is your captain!
Okay, anybody been upgraded to 3mbps downstream speeds yet? A friend of mine told me last week that he got the upgrade, but he had to call to request it. I called, and they told me it was the craziest thing they've ever heard. So what's the deal?

I just got the speed upgrade and tested it twice (one east coast server and one west coast server)

Seattle, Washington server tested link gave me 2.681 Mbps down and 350kbps upstream

A Maryland server gave me 2.87 Mbps down and 370.66 Kbps up.

I like the upgrade - same price!

Well DUH :lmao: you got MORE for the same monthly price, that is always a plus.

A GMP tech was at my house 2-days ago and I will say that whenever I have had an issue with something in the house, they have always been very good to deal with. I think they've been better than Comcast. :ohwell:

The issues we’ve had are due to the house being pre-wired. Apparently, the builder ran the wire into the house and spliced it to death. We had to have a separate line for the Internet and now they are going to be back to run a separate line for the digital box.
