"The militant was a young man in his late 20s, and he was shouting 'God is great' while shooting wildly at the embassy security guards," a Yemeni guard on the scene told The Associated Press.

An Interior Ministry official said the gunman was admitted to a military hospital, where he was questioned as well as treated. All three Yemeni officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

The Interior Ministry said the gunman was named Salem Mohammed Salem, but did not release additional information about him. "

OK...so Islam is such a peaceful religion that they name their children "Peace Mohammed Peace"--- :lmao: :lmao:

And he's caught assaulting an embassy hoping to kill Americans. This is perfect.

I understand your point. Not that I'm defending Salem Mohammed Salem's actions, but did you ever stop to think that the news ONLY covers these type of incidents? You never hear about the majority of islamic people, who are probably quite peaceful. Its only the few extremists that stand-out. Takes violence to get on the news these days...not peace.

The media isn't going to report on everyday peaceful actions of Muslims anymore than they will report on my day-to-day peaceful activity as a Christian. Why do we need to exploit those that are doing their civic duty of doing the right thing: BEHAVING PEACEFULLY? You said it yourself
"Its only the few extremists that stand-out"
. That's why they call them extremists. The norm does not stand out.

Too bad. Stereotypes don't appear out of thin air. There's always cold hard reality behind it.

When we're treated to an avalanche of stories about Muslims killing in the name of their religion - and, PS, fighting a friggin' *war* over that very same thing - it's hard to make the case for the "religion of peace".

Since we're speaking in general terms, it's worthy of note that almost every trouble spot in the world right now (violence, I mean) involves Muslims as the aggressors/instigators. That very small minority of Muslim Extremists we keep hearing about must be spread very thinly indeed.

Historical perspective...

Let's look at Nazi behavior in 1938 & 39

It was predicated upon a supposed "victimology" related to ..
1) past wrongs...ie Treaty of Versailles
2) Loss of pride...stripping of its Pre WWI empire, end of the Kaiser
3) Lost rights...the Deutsche Volk deserve to live under one flag
4) Abuses...by foreign powers arresting/detaining loyal peace-loving nazis
5)Threats...by the meanace of Communism and a Jewish global conspiracy

ADD into the mix, that they firmly believed that they are superior and that Hitler will lead a united Germany into the 1000 year Reich.

Only an idiot would miss the parallels with modern Islamofascism.

They screech about past wrongs they have endured...
They dream of the glory of a united Muslim brotherhood from the Pacific to America's shores.
They use CAIR as a mouthpiece to shame and embarrass weak willed governments & media....stammering about discrimination and perceived abuses.
They sputter & hiss about the detention of their loyal followers, hiring lawyers and urging world condemnation of Guantanamo.
and yes,...they still make weird propaganda films about Jews descending from Monkeys, eating Arab children, etc.

Now,..was it possible for Hitler to pull this strategy off with 2-5% of the nation? 20%? NO...he had a majority right with him by the late 30's.

Can Modern Islam pull off this strategy with a "small minority" of radicals?
Hardly...we are facing MILLIONS of fanatics and millions standing silently by and watching,...ready to be swept in at the next victory of Allah over the infidel.

Its just a shame the majority of Americans really don't learn anything from history.

Can't learn anything from something you don't study or is adulterated so that the history is colored to degrade your own country.
