Romans 11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:
“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”
28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. 32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
35 “Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?

36 For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.
We still have about 5 chapters to go through in this book. Yet, check out verses 33-36.... a doxology. Just when you think you've reached the end of his exhortation, he continues.

I keep thinking "good kids, bad kids, children of God".

Adam and Eve had two sons. One was a good boy, who worked hard, sacrificed the best of his harvest, and listened to his parents. The other, worked the field, sacrificed what was required, but he was jealous of his brother. The first son always got a good pat on the back from everyone. The second son was right beside him, but just didn't have as bright a smile because he was jealous of his brother.

Adam and Eve had two sons. The second son was so jealous, he murdered the first son. The second son was sent away. God marked him so no one would murder him... but one was good, very, very good, and the other was equally bad.

I bet Adam and Eve thought about their sons for the rest of their lives.

God's the same way about us. Even though we have not behaved ourselves, even though we have all done things God told us not to.... God is still the Father and He loves us... as Adam and Eve loved Cane and Abel.

These verses, first spoken by Paul in Rome, defending himself, including the doxology.... are meant to say.... God loves us just as Adam and Eve loved Cane and Abel. Humans do horrible things but they can be forgiven by God. None of us is ever forgotten. God gave Cane a family too.... and I'm pretty sure Cane watched his kids spatting and thought of his brother.

Just because the family is split.... like Cane and Abel or Isaac and Ishmael.... It's still the family. God loves all His Children.

Recently my uncle passed away. In the old days, not so long ago, I could have jumped in the car and gone to see my aunt [who happens to be my favorite]. But now.... I live so far away. And that's when it occurred to me.... The family is split all over the continent. God's family is split all over the world. I love my family, but we don't talk to each other as much as we used to. God loves His family... but we don't talk to Him as much as we used to.

Paul says.... God loves you just as much as He loves Isaac, Ishmael, and of course.... jealous little Cane. They're all His creations... and He doesn't discriminate. God loves all His creatures.

Ever watched a lizard eat a bug? Jurassic.... It's like watching Jurassic in miniature.

God loves all His creation.
