Going out to dinner on Christmas

This is the big FB whine - "Oh don't go out to dinner on Christmas because those workers should be home with their families!"

FO, Karen. Nobody asked you. When it was me I volunteered to work Christmas because I needed the money. If restaurant workers don't work, they don't get paid. Plus people tip like maniacs at Christmas  Plus plus not everyone wants to be home with their weirdo family.

What's with people who need to butt their ignorant nose into everything? Why is it some busybody's business whether a restaurant opens on Christmas or not? She doesn't know anyone involved, yet there she is running her mouth. <-- and it's almost ALWAYS a "she".

Workers might be Jewish, Muslim, atheists etc.

We went out to Chinese one Christmas, that was a mistake, long ass lines, there was a fight at the buffet and cops were even called and some drunk guy was hauled off.

We are doing the big meal tomorrow over at sisters house and then a sleepover. Christmas Day will most likely be leftovers or Chinese and go to the movies.

Just sneakin' around....
Christmas is all day. Working on Christmas is one shift, 8 hours. People who work on Christmas of their own accord still get to have time with family. And some families celebrate with family on Christmas Eve.
