No Longer the Kid
Looking for a good 3 wood and Sand wedge...

Doesn't have to be new, doesn't have to be the latest and greatest tech.

But what are some good models in my price range...

I'm hoping to stay under 350.00 for both, I might swing by Mike's today and see what he has in the used section, as well as new...

But, wanted some ideas...

I picked up an Mizuno 4 wood (16.5 degree loft) for $99 a few months ago at Mike's. I was going to go with the similar priced 3 wood, however I opted for the "out of the rough" more utility club. Still it gets me up the fairway at around 240 on a good day, albeit those days are rare. $350 seems a bit much for what you are looking for.

I'd go for a 16* to 19* utility wood over a 3 wood. I think the utility (or hybrid) is a lot more versatile and easier to hit from a variety of lies. As for wedges, you really can't go wrong with a Cleveland although I am partial to my TaylorMade fe3o2.
