Is that like the Special Olympics for dogs?
No.... not at all... you bring your dog and you start off on a long hike through the woods, Bailey choose a short cut through a creek...

Then you compete in all kinds of compeitions and games...
Games were:
Ball Waddle... you stick a ball between your knees and walk from one end of field to another with your dog without dropping the ball in the fastest time.
Doggy Bowling .... you have a little enclosed area and as a handler you help your dog knock over pins in the shortest amount of time.. (Bailey took second place in this with 19 sec.)... she was highstrung but has spindly legs and had to pee while the clock was running.
Pooper scooper race... you walk around a field picking up as many plastic eggs in a pooper scooper and placing them in your bucket in shortest amount of time.
Egg/spoon race... you have a spoon the size of a teaspoon and had to put the egg on the spoon and run and put it in a bowl across a pit of sand, back and forth three times... if your egg falls you are disqualified... Bailey took second in this and won a talking bone, only during me helping her pick out her prize she lunged after a buterfly and I went flying across the box of toys on my knees

I also twisted my ankle in the dash in the sand back to get another egg... A huge great dane and its owner next to me won first place.
Doggy Dash... let your dog go from one end to another racing other dogs... Although Bailey probably woudl have won this... she'd still be running around up there at the park if I did this with her.
Face Painting (kiddy thing)
Musical Chairs with the kids holding their dogs on leashes (kiddy thing)
Agility Course - I couldn't see me doing this, let alone with a dog.
Then came the contests...
1)shortest dog
2) tallest dog
3) dog with most mysterious herritage
4) dog with most unusual tail... the two dogs that won ribbons had their tails docked... I was going to enter Bailey but I didn't because her tail was docked (man made) but come to find out she would have won that because her's is docked and has a white tip on the end.
5) longest ears.... there were som German shepards in the contest so I entered Bailey and then after about the second cirlcle around with Bailey two Basset Hound owners entered and a Beagle.... I did a semicirlcle on the third circle and kept walking right out of the compitition and into the audience...

6) Most spotted dog... Bailey got honorable mention ribbon and they considered her ticked not spotted...

7) Best owner/dog look alike contest
8) Best howler
9) Best trick contest - Baily took first place ribbon for this

10) Fluffliest dog.
So there you have it Aps, thanks for asking

It was normal dogs, food, music, games, activities, contests, etc... loads of fun for the dogs. They have this every year and I'm already looking forward to next year.

Oh yeah and professional cop dog demonstrations, a frisbee dog and a professional agility runner dog.
