Good Native Grasses for Lawns?

Hi everyone, I live in a rural area near Gaithersburg and recently did a survey of the abundance of species in my lawn, and was appalled to find practically no native species! We do not do any kind of maintainence on the lawn other than mowing, and as such it has be growing wild ever since my parents bought the house back in the 70's. I've decided it's time for a change but do not want to introduce more exotics to the area. Question is, what natives are good for a lawn that will see 2'' mowing every 2 months in the summer? Total lawn area is ~2 acres.

When I mean native grasses, I mean native to the state, not the country as a whole.

Can't say I know any Maryland native grasses, either. But I've tried a few. As common as it is, tall fescue is as popular as it gets (probably what you have there already), but a creeping red fescue is a good grass, too and slows its growth down to almost nothing in the summer (like most local grasses used). FOr the acreage and purpose you're mentioning, though I'd stick with tall fescue, it's fairly low maintenance.
