Good Preschool/daycare in Lusby Area?

Does anyone have any suggestions on daycares in the lusby area? I'm currently looking for care for my 19 month old daughter. I just seem to be having trouble finding someone I like. Any comments on Solomons DayCare center or Spumps?

Please don't PM Hollywoodfred Kelley. :boo:
:yeahthat: The conversations in this place are stale enough without scaring off the newbies.

Kelley, the "joke" here is that HWFred was recently unmasked here on the forums as a convicted pedophile. I believe he was scared off, though.

There is a service in the tri-county area which keeps a database of all licensed daycare providers. They try to keep track of who has openings, but that requires constant updating by the providers, so it's not always accurate, but they try. You can access this service online, but there are a lot of holes in that system, you are better off calling them, Southern Maryland Child Care Resource Center 1-866-290-0045.

It is very difficult to find child care for a child under 2. The state limits them to 2 children for every adult. Someone recently posted here, just like you've done and they reported finding someone after making about 50 calls.

I've tried the tri-county service thing..no such luck..and alot of the providers were very rude about not having any openings. Like I knew that. LOL I'm not really desperate on care. I really want to wait till she turns two to put her back into daycare. I prefer a preschool of some sort though...

Is Huntingtown too far? I take my son to Kids Farm and I think they have openings. Great place!!
