good sushi?

Im new to the area and in the mood for some sushi. I did a search and found a post from 2002, so I thought Id reask since the area's grown a bit, whats the best sushi place in southern maryland?

I am so very blessed
I picked up some "grocery store" sushi yesterday from Whole Foods market in Annapolis, and it was extremely yummy. Still....not as good as Asahi, but great considering that it was pre-made, but it came at a reasonable cost, too. :yay:

Woodburns has an in store sushi chef, actually two of them.. and if you time it right they make your sushi to order, while you watch them make it.

I ended up going to Woodburns (because I live in Solomons and didnt really want to go to a restaurant alone so sitting at home with my sushi seemed like a good idea). Not the *best* ive ever had but pretty good imho. Thanks for all your help

I'm headed that way too! :howdy: Thanks. I've been in Calvert County over 10 years and still go to Georgetown to get my sushi. :jameo: Will try Woodburn's tomorrow since we have our boat across the street at NRC. :flowers:

I used to like sushi/sashimi (sp?), and so on... but I'm not so big on it anymore. If I do get a hankering, I'd definitely hit Asahi, where it's a menu item, fresh to order, and such... Or, like BG wrote - Whole Foods (I dig Whole Foods) where it's made in front of you or you just trust the freshness of the source.

Well ya see, if I had KNOWN, I would have stopped by, and in one of my trips back and forth to the truck I would have stopped and introduced you to Nicholas..

Are you going to be there on other concert nights??
