I just found a tick on my bed and I want to know if I'm so supposed to be worried about this particular tick so I'd like a description of the bad kind of tick, please.

Please, oh please, don't post pictures!!

You're not helping. :bawl:

I thought there was a certain kind of tick (deer ticks maybe?) that carried Lyme Disease and I thought they looked different from regular icky ticks.

This one was kinda brown with a white spot on his back. He looked hungry and he was heading staright for my body!!!

And I don't want to do a search because the first search I did had a tick picture on the home page. And he didn't suck me so I don't have to worry about HIM but I want to know what I'm looking for in the event that I DO get sucked!!!

The deer tick changes as it goes through its phases. The larva has the clearly defined white spot. The nymph has a slightly faded spot and for the adults the spot is gone.

I know you said no pics, but it's easier than describing. Picture one is of the 4 stages of deer ticks. Pictures 2 is of a deer tick(Left) next to a common wood tick (Right).
