Tel me about it thats whats on my car and they are only 3 yrs old and they are almost dead! No traction what so ever! :tantrum

I hate Goodyear. Tried them twice on 2 different cars. Never again.

I don't understand why Goodyear has a monopoly on NASCAR tires anyway. Why can't Bridgestone or Michelin compete?

They used to allow different brands compete (Goodyear and Hoosier) back in the 90s but there were a lot of drivers seriously hurt or killed in crashes caused by exploding tires. Hoosier built really soft tires that didn't last long and Goodyear built better tires so NASCAR dropped Hoosier out.

That said -- I'd like to see someone else come in I'm sure they could build a better tire.

Firestone was testing a stock car tire on an Earnhardt Ganassi ARCA car at the infield of the Homestead Miami Motorsports Complex in January. Neither Firestone, EGR or ARCA said there was anything to this and they weren't the ones who took the lead....

"It's just a Goodyear right-rear tire," Stewart said. "So it's the same thing everybody has been talking about all week. It's the same stuff that we always talk about every year -- the failures that Goodyear has. I think that's part of their marketing campaign. The more we talk about it, the more press they get. I think they forget that it's supposed to be in a good way, not a bad way."
