‘I’m Going To Sue The Crap Out Of These People’: Lindsey Graham Delivers Blunt Words To Jack Smith

“Here’s what I believe. If he [Trump] had never announced he was going to run for president, none of this would have happened. They were trying to destroy his comeback. This was all orchestrated by Jack Smith, Alvin Bragg, Fanni Willis, Letitia James to destroy this man so he could not win in 2024. I’ve seen this movie before. I am going to look at what happened to me and my fellow senators,” Graham said. “If they did this without good reason and without cause, I’m going to sue the crap out of these people.”

Hannity then asked if Graham would include Smith directly, to which Graham replied “whoever” he is able to sue.

“Whoever I can sue on behalf of the future of people who will come after me, we cannot allow the abuse of power to go … unchecked. One guy went to jail for a year and Crossfire Hurricane. [Former FBI Director James] Comey is finally being looked at after all of these years. If they don’t pay a price now, they’ll keep doing it,” Graham said. “But I just want you to understand from the time President Trump announced he was running for president in 2022, by 2023, there were 91 indictments against him for a bunch of BS.”

Greene for her part assailed her party’s leadership.

“Not a single Republican in leadership talked to us about this or has given us a plan to help Americans deal with their health insurance premiums DOUBLING!!!” she wrote on X.

The words pleasantly surprised Democratic lawmakers, including her home state’s upper chamber rep, Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.).

“You are going to hear me utter words I never thought I'd say: Marjorie Taylor Greene is right,” Warnock told The Independent Tuesday.

“I'm seeing what she's seeing. She's seeing what I'm seeing. People's health care premiums on the marketplace are going up astronomically high.”

In response, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) highlighted Greene’s tweet during his press conference on Tuesday.

“Marjorie Taylor Greene acknowledges this fight is about the health care of the American people,” Jeffries said. “It’s Republicans in terms of the leadership that is missing in action.”

Some Democrats expressed surprise — but pleasure — at the fact Greene mentioned it.

Stefanik, Cotton Urge Treasury Department To Probe CAIR for 'Financial Links to Hamas'

In a letter sent Tuesday to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, the Republicans argue that CAIR’s "pattern of historic ties" to Hamas, combined with the rhetorical encouragement CAIR leaders have offered for Hamas, may constitute "material support for terrorism." They cite CAIR’s designation as an unindicted co-conspirator in a 2009 federal court case against the Holy Land Foundation, a Hamas front group, and pro-Hamas rhetoric from CAIR leaders in the wake of the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks.

CAIR executive director Nihad Awad, for example, said in November 2023 that he was "happy to see" Hamas attack the Jewish state, and applauded Hamas operatives for "breaking the siege" against Israel. Cotton and Stefanik noted that Awad is a former leader of the Islamic Association of Palestine, a propaganda arm of Hamas.

"We urge the department to immediately investigate whether CAIR maintains financial links to Hamas that constitute a violation of U.S. sanctions on Hamas and ensure that none of its assets are being used to advance the objectives of Hamas," said Cotton, the chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, and Stefanik, a top House Republican who is considering a run for New York governor.
