Luke 2:9-14
9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.10 Then the angel said to them,"Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

14 "Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"

Good verses. Most don't read Latin and Latin is just a translation like English, so, unless you are an ancient Roman come back to life (I don't think it is time yet. Didn't hear the trumpet.), might as well post in English or your native tongue. It you want a language more close to the original, here is a reasonably modern Greek (I know it is not ancient Greek, but it is close.).
ΚΑΤΑ ΛΟΥΚΑΝ 2:9-14 (1894 Scrivener New Testament)

Not going for original, I just think that the Latain translation is beautiful. Like the Greek, the Vulgate Latin is not the aceint language either, just a corruption of the original Latin, but beautiful just the same. There's just something special about gloria in altissimis Deo et in terra pax in hominibus bonae voluntatis.

John 3:30
"He must increase, I must decrease".
Something special here not just about John's ministry...
but for all of us !

"Do not urge me to leave you or to turn my back to you. Where you will go, I will go, and where you will stay, I will stay. Your people will be my poeple and your God will be my God. Where you die, I will die and where you are buried I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me severely, if anything but death separate you and me"

Ruth1:16

Always liked the Mass in latin. Never understood alot of it, but I liked it, and I grew up with it before it all went to English.
