on the Rebel. Young girl coming down tomorrow from DC with her dad, a motorcycle mechanic and a van and cash. I almost hate to see it go if she buys it. That's my baby.

On the other hand, my sister, Harley rider for years, is coming at the end of May. We are going to have to ride together, so I guess I have to learn to ride the 1100 V Star. Practice starts tomorrow, weather permitting. Expect funny stories.

She sounded very serious. Doesn't have a license, but neither did I when I bought it. That bike gets about 80 miles to the gallon. I will miss it if she buys it. It's a fun little bike. I rode it around for a little bit yesterday, thru the neighborhood. Now I wanna keep it.

We had to rest a bit, then cool down, and go one at a time. DR stayed behind. He was skeered to arrive at the house when we did.

FYI, there's a bike blessing in North Beach tomorrow from 10 - 5 if you're looking for something to do. Went last year, it was pretty nice.

#1 Good thing, if they're driving 3hrs round trip they are not going to haggle over $50 bucks or so.
#2 Bad thing. There will be no "amusing stories" concerning BSG on my cycle.
#3 Good thing. I could use the SIL visit to justify a new bike. Of course I would seel the old one after she leaves. (not) I'm thinking Yamaha FJR1300.
#4 Bad thing. Arriving back at the ranch 1/2 hour later only gave them a chance to think of things for me to do.

Buddy of mine got one this spring. NICE bike. He found the optional top case on Ebay at a big discount over retail. He cracks the throttle and it will walk away from mine.
