Got Food Poisoning @ Petruzzi's

Ate dinner there last Sunday, which would make the 4th time ive eaten there. The first time, the food was terrible. The second and third, the service was terrible but the food was decent. The last time I ate there we were sitting next to a table of 4 who all were complaining about the food quality and temperature.

I ordered the lobster ravioli, which consisted of a total of 7 filled pastas.

Sometime around 3AM I woke up and got sick......we won't go into detail but lets just say it was pretty bad. Called my doc the next day who told me I should go to the ER since it was closer. My blood pressure was high (im only 24) and they did the blood work. Sure enough, thats what it came out to be. They gave me a few treatments via IV and sent me on my way after keeping me overnight.

Anyways, should have known better than to eat there after a few bad experiences. I shoulda stuck to Guidos in Lusby or Nicolleti's. Im going to Carrabas tomorrow night, they have great italian.

That's your fault for going back if the food was terrible the first time.

Double and triple your fault if the food was only "good" and the service terrible the next two visits.

You had three strikes...and what happened?

Keep on :smack:'ing yourself upside the head. :yay:

3 years ago Monday was my first trip form Maine down here to scout it out before I moved. On the way back I stopped at a restaurant in Connecticut. By the time I got to Maine I was retching, hurling, sick as a dog. Went to bed and finally went to the emergency room about 2 AM. Food poisoning, :barf: I was miserable for 3 days. that is the sickest I have ever been.

Ever hear of Ziploc freezer bags?

A month from now you will be greatful when you have a bag full of meatballs to thaw out for dinner.

Damn, I'm hungry.

They were already cooked, in sauce and ready to go. I didn't think it was going to be as arduous and traumatic as it was. :meatballhell:

No, dying from staph poisoning and being revived to live for three extra days in excruciating pain and then die again is the worse.

My neighborhood pizza parlor killed 3 people about 12 years ago, and put many others in the hospital.

Yes, they are still in business. Amazing, isn't it?

Have I ever gone back there? HELL NO!

I guess we all take a risk whenever we pay good money to eat out, or even eating in.

I love food and will continue on my merry way...Still...scary what can happen.
