ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today announced Carla Lynn Knight as judicial appointee for the Circuit Court of Queen Anne’s County.

“The appointment of qualified individuals to serve across our state’s justice system is paramount to upholding our responsibilities to the people of Maryland and the rule of law,” said Governor Hogan. “I have confidence that Ms. Knight will be a strong advocate for the law and will serve the citizens of Queen Anne’s County admirably.”

Carla Lynn Knight has been a solo practitioner since 2002, working under the name Law Office of Lynn Knight, PC, with a concentration on domestic litigation. As a former attorney for the Queen Anne’s County Department of Social Services, she represented the department in matters such as children in need of assistance, termination of parental rights, and other juvenile matters. Knight also served as the executive director for the Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence, Inc. and previously worked as an associate attorney with the law firm of Foster, Braden, Thompson, and Palmer. She is active in her community as a Rotary Club member while also serving on the board for St. Martin’s Ministries. She obtained her B.A. from Washington College and her J.D. from Widener Law School.
