Fills Vacancies in Montgomery County
ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today announced Magistrate Bibi Berry and Michael McAuliffe as judicial appointees for the Circuit Court for Montgomery County.
“The appointment of these qualified individuals to serve across our state’s justice system is paramount to upholding our responsibilities to the people of Maryland and the rule of law,” said Governor Hogan. “I have every confidence that Magistrate Berry and Mr. McAuliffe will continue to be strong advocates for the law and will serve the citizens of Montgomery County admirably.”
Bibi Berry is a family division magistrate with the Circuit Court for Montgomery County. Before her appointment as magistrate, Berry was a domestic litigation associate, then equity shareholder, at Paley Rothman. She also worked as a litigation associate with Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, P.A. from 2002-2005 and served as a law clerk at Arnold and Porter, LLP from 1998-2002. She received her B.S. from Howard University and her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Michael McAuliffe is currently a partner with the firm of Ethridge, Quinn, Kemp, McAuliffe, Rowan & Hartinger, where he has a multi-service general trial practice. He has worked as an attorney with the same law firm since 1987. After graduating from law school and clerking for the Honorable John J. Mitchell of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, McAuliffe joined John M. Quinn in 1987 to form Quinn & McAuliffe, the predecessor to the firm as it is known today. McAuliffe received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
