ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today kicked off five days on the Eastern Shore with visits to Somerset and Wicomico Counties. Over the course of the tour, Governor Hogan will take part in the annual Maryland Municipal League (MML) conference, and make several COVID-19 recovery announcements.
Lunch with Local Leaders. At Washington Inn and Tavern in Princess Anne, the governor had a lunch discussion with local leaders.
Princess Anne Historic District. After lunch, the governor visited local small businesses in Princess Anne’s Historic District.
NASA Wallops Flight Facility. The governor toured and received a mission briefing at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility, which is operated by Goddard Flight Space Center. Established in 1945, Wallops is the agency’s main site for conducting research using aircraft, scientific balloons, and sounding rockets. Wallops has supported more than 16,000 rocket launches, and it is NASA’s only rocket launch range.
Burley Oak Brewery. After returning from the NASA Wallops Center, the governor visited Burley Oak Brewery in Berlin.
