State to Hold Mobile Clinics All Summer Long, Beginning in Ocean City and Deep Creek Lake
ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan will launch Maryland’s GoVAX Summer Tour of mobile vaccination clinics on Friday, May 28 at Seacrets Ocean City. The GoVAX Summer Tour will bring mobile clinics and vaccine outreach to cultural and community events, bars and breweries, and popular destinations across the state.
“It is easier than ever to find and to receive a vaccine in Maryland,” said Governor Hogan. “Now, through our GoVAX Summer Tour, we are making it easier yet by bringing vaccines to where people are. I encourage all those who are still on the fence and haven’t yet gotten their shot to go out and get vaccinated right away, and look forward to seeing many of you at Seacrets this Friday.”
Marylanders 18 and older who get vaccinated at these clinics will be entered into the state’s $2 million VaxCash promotion. No appointment is needed at these mobile clinics, and vaccines are free.
Friday, May 28: Seacrets Ocean City. Free COVID-19 vaccines will be available at Seacrets Ocean City on Friday, from noon to 2 p.m. Marylanders who get vaccinated at Seacrets will receive a voucher for savings on their favorite dish, beverage, or merchandise that day. No appointment is needed—guests can simply walk up and get a vaccine. Seacrets is located at 117 49th Street on the bay side. The clinic will be set up in Seacrets’ distillery parking lot.
Thursday, May 27: Union Craft Brewing in Baltimore City. Lieutenant Governor Boyd K. Rutherford will visit a vaccine clinic at Union Craft Brewing in Baltimore City on Thursday at 4 p.m. The clinic will offer free vaccines without an appointment until 7 p.m. All Marylanders who receive a vaccine at the Union Craft Brewing clinic will receive a token that can be exchanged for food or drink while on site.
Friday, May 28 to Sunday, June 6: Ocean City Convention Center. To provide additional vaccine availability in the Ocean City area throughout the holiday weekend, a GoVAX Mobile clinic will be located at the Ocean City Convention Center at 4001 Coastal Highway from Friday, May 28 to Wednesday, June 6. Free COVID-19 vaccines will be available at the clinic each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no appointment required.
Friday, May 28 to Wednesday, June 2: Deep Creek Lake. In the Deep Creek Lake area, a GoVAX Mobile clinic will be held at the Garrett County Fairgrounds from Friday, May 28 to Wednesday, June 2, with free, no-appointment vaccines available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
Friday, May 28: Evolution Craft Brewing in Salisbury. Evolution Craft Brewing in Salisbury will host a vaccine clinic on Friday, May 28, with free vaccines available from noon to 6 p.m. No appointment is required. Guests 21 and older who get vaccinated can receive a free drink.
