ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today welcomed Vice President Kamala Harris to the mass vaccination site at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore City. Over the winter, the stadium was converted into one of Maryland’s first mass vaccination sites and recently surpassed the milestone of 200,000 vaccines administered.
“Marylanders and all Americans have risen to meet this unprecedented crisis with great courage and resolve,” said Governor Hogan. “Together we have summoned every ounce of strength and every resource at our disposal to defeat this threat. This site is a testament to that. I want to thank the entire Biden-Harris administration team for continuing to work with us to achieve our shared mission to get a vaccine to every single person who wants one as soon as possible.”
The M&T Bank Stadium site is being operated in close coordination with the Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital to vaccinate underserved populations in Baltimore City. It is one of 13 mass vaccination sites in Maryland.
