Grace Lutheran & Blessed Lambs schools

Anyone out there have or had kids in Grace Lutheran or Blessed Lambs schools in La Plata? My daughters are registered at GL to start school in the fall. But recently I heard from a mom or two that Blessed Lambs is more accepting of other religions than GL. In addition to how "accepting of other religions" these schools are, I'm wondering what other parents like or don't like about the schools and how the kids are treated. I visited GL and didn't see anything I didn't like. I'm wondering if it's worth it to look into Blessed Lambs.

I have cousins that have their kids enrolled at GL. They seem to really like it!

My mother is a teacher at Blessed Lambs, and my son will be in their 3 year old program next year. Their curriculum isn't religious-based, it's simply a private preschool that happens to be sponsored by the church. Most of the children don't attend our church. Also, Blessed Lambs has been full (for next year, and there's a waiting list) since before January. They're opening up an afternoon 3 year old class, but that will probably fill quickly also.

Blessed Lambs Preschool

Although this message is from 2005, as the Director of Blessed Lambs Preschool I felt it necessary that I correct a few statements made by the previous quotes.

Blessed Lambs Preschool is a direct ministry of La Plata United Methodist Church. While we admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to our program, we ARE a religious based program and that is made clear to anyone who registers for our program. We feel that our program is geared religiously to the developmental needs and stages of the children we serve.

We welcome anyone who is interested to stop by and visit either our 2, 3 or 4 year old program. Registration for 2008-2009 will begin on January 2, 2008.

I have my daugher in GL, I will keep her there through 8th grade, only because that is how far it goes, if it is decided that they go up to H.S. she will stay there. We are Catholic, not practicing, she is learning about God and Jesus, which I feel is great no matter what religion. She is excelling and doing wonderful. She was in Mt. Hope nanjemoy and I do NOT recommend that school to anyone! Grace Lutheran does not pay their teachers a lot, they teach there because they want to, makes it a nice environment, teacher that WANT to teach
