Grand Children........

Suz

33 yrs & we r still n luv
are the best!!! Spoil them and sugar them up then send them home!!! Hubby's favorite saying regarding them is "they are more fun then the ones that brought them here"!

We have 4 now. 3 boys and 1 girl. Love them SOOOO much!

I heard last night from a reliable source that someone on here is about to become a nana, grandmom, mimi or what ever she chooses to be called. I don't know if her daughter has told her yet, but I know she's in for a LOT of love and fun!!!!

Can someone please point out to me where there is anything to indicate that this thread was created for me?

If there is, then would it be reasonable to say, that if I had not known yet, that this person was basically stealing my daughters thunder by telling me before she did?

All I see is someone trying to :elaine:.

I don't see it as stealing anyone's thunder because there is no mention of a name.

Well, she seemed to think that I should have known it was for me. Hell, I never even saw the thread title until I looked it up today.

From her PM
I even started a thread to congratulate you, which you chose to ignore.....
And that was over 3 months ago.

Now I am dying to know who told who what.

Okay, not really - I hate that ####.

But I do not see where Suz's post referenced anyone, and if I'd seen it before (which I didn't) I would have never made the connection to mAlice.

I don't see how you could have ever mistaken this thread to be about you Malice and it's a good dayum thing Suz didn't get anymore explicit as to who the thread was about... that would have been wrong in so many ways.

It's bad enough that nowadays people find out about the sudden passing of a loved one from facebook and/or texting before they can ever have a chance to get the word straight from a loved one or someone who is really in the know... are we going to take away the personal and intimate good news moments away now too?

Al Gore's internet sux.

Amen.

I blame CNN and the 24-hour news cycle. People have this need to be FIRST and know ALL THE BREAKING NEWS AS IT HAPPENS.

I am so looking forward to being a grandmother one day... It will not hurt my feelings if I'm not the first person or even in the list of the first 10 people for that matter that my son or my daugter tells first. What is important is that I hear it directly from my son or my daughter. That is what would matter most.

I'm very happy that I heard it from her first. However, had I heard it before she told me, then asked her if she was pregnant, I think she might have been disappointed if she were not the person to tell me. I could tell that it was an important moment for her.

You will surely know about your impending grandmotherhood before some stranger on the internet who doesn't even know you or your kids.

Oh wow, Suz. I don't even know you.

Having known your sons in high school does not in any way give you the authority to underhandedly tell my mother my business.

I want you to know that had she known at the time that this thread was intended for her, you would have in fact stolen my "thunder." It was a stressful event for me, I was in tears telling my parents. I was scared and didn't know how they would react. Luckily, I have loving and supportive parents that reassured me that everything would be just fine.

Stay the hell out of my life. I hope I never have the misfortune of meeting you.

If I hadn't read the entire thread before reading this post, I'd have thought you were coming out of the closet, not having children.

:coffee:

Oh, and congratulations either way.

Hah! Thanks.

And thanks to everyone else for the support. I had no intention of sharing this on the forums until my mom told me that my business had already made it here, so I really appreciate it taking a better turn. For the most part, this is a really great community :)

sue has a really big mouth. I just hope you don't get too stressed out about the whole world knowing about this before your mom even knew.

Congrats on the baby. Do you know what you are having yet? Try and take it easy and relax as much as you can :).

No stress. She's just like me, in that she doesn't like people in her business.

I will add that since this occurred, I've learned that "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" applies here. This is in reference to the part of the email that I did not post, because some things are just nobody's business.

I will also add that she was in possession of some incorrect information. Dang, those nasty rumors.
