I actually changed jobs and moved to Virginia to get my son out of Great Mills...now he is at Hickory HS in Chesapeake Va, about to graduate HS, and actually has enough college credits to enter as a 2nd semester sophomore when he finishes High School.
There are so many things that I liked about SoMD, but GMHS was definitely not one of them.....it was a steep price to pay...but I saved my son.

If they don't build a better MS and HS for Lexington Park, it's only going to get worse. I've seen a lot of these elementary school children, they are no joke and ready to terrorize Spring Ridge MS and Great Mills HS.

Except that children that ride the "short bus" are largely the special needs children i.e. mentally retarded, autistic, children with CP and a host of other mental and physical conditions and for some reason you are alarmed as a parent that they are going to your children's school.
