Hi All,
My husband and I are getting ready to move to St. Mary's County in July. We're having a hard time deciding between two locations. Could you give me opinions of the Victoria's Grant neighborhood in Great Mills and the Hayden Green neighborhood in Greenview West also in Great Mills? Thanks a bunch!

We are in the process of buying a house in Victoria's Grant. I have talked to several people that live there & they all seem to be really happy with the neighborhood.

I live adjacent to both neighborhoods. Both are great. The only concern you should have is with Hayden Green depending on which house you actually are considering. Stay away from the lots that back up to Chancellors Run road because these lots will be impacted by the upcoming widening of Chancellors Run Road. I’m not saying that these lots are going to be taken. It’s just that after the widening, you would end up with traffic that much closer to your bedroom window. Other than that, Hayden Green is fine.

where is Hayden Green? I live off of Chancellors Run road and never heard of it.

Hayden Green is off of Greenview Parkway in the Greenview West area. If you’re coming from Rt 235 down Chancellors Run Road, turn right at the school intersection. That is Greenview Parkway. Pass the entrance to the office bldgs. Pass the entrance to Longfield townhouses. Right after the town houses, turn left onto Valley View Drive. This takes you right into Hayden Green. There’ll be pond on your right.

NOT Politically Correct!!
Chancellors Run road scares me, way too much traffic, accidents, and soon construction...

On a good note, the construction of the 235 widening only took about 5 years...

Hello and welcome to Southern Maryland!!! :howdy:

I live in Hayden Green and have for going on 8 years. We LOVE it here. It's a sweet little neighborhood filled with good people. My husband was elected Sunday as President of the HOA....we have some great plans under way already.

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ( :killingme ) but feel free to PM me as a neighbor for any other info.

Wherever you choose, enjoy our beautiful County!

Thank you all for your help. Moving in from out of state, it's really hard to find information about all the different parts of the cities. I'm really glad we stumbled on this forum.
