There is an amazing place in Ft. Lauderdale for kids (mostly age 4-13) called Wannado City (http://www.wannadocity.com). It's a miniature city with services and facilities just for kids. The kids learn about different trades, get "jobs" in the city, get wannado money as income, manage their money at the wannado banks & atms, and can spend their money on different things like rides at the wannado fair or making cookies. If you're in Ft. Lauderdale with your kids, you should definitely try to go there. I wish we had a wannado city in SOMD. It was priceless when my daughter went to the bank looking for $ and walked out with her hands up in the air saying, "they told me to get a job!"
