Great. He's already cut funding to various agencies like DNR and MDOT. We're watching the roadway on St. George's Island be breached and washed out but the SHA folks had to shut down the erosion control and restoration work planned for that stretch of roadway...the money disappeared..

DNR has a program (with what seems like unlimited amounts of cash) to purchase private properties (much of it farm land) around Green Ridge State Forest when the owner passes away. Allegany County is fighting it because, of course, they loose property taxes because the State can outbid private purchasers.

The very first thing governments ignore and stop spending money on, is infrastructure. That money is then used to give to those, or support those, that have no interest in the well being of society, only themselves.

If it wasn't for a few of them, and I mentioned two that are impactful, you wouldn't be seeing any waterfowl on the water.

One of the reasons the Allegany County government is pissed is because they have this dream that the County will become the new Prince George's/Montgomery Counties (without the minorities) for rural pioneers commuting to DC.
