ST. PETERSBURG --
Firefighters rescued three dogs and a cat from a house fire in St. Petersburg Wednesday morning.

According to reports, firefighters saw a large column of smoke visible from several blocks away shortly before 11:30 a.m.

They responded to the area and found flames coming out of the back of the single-story masonry home, located in the 800 block of 39th Avenue N.
Firefighters went into the house to search for trapped victims. It was during that search that they found three Chihuahuas and one cat, all of which were suffering from severe smoke inhalation.

The firefighters used special oxygen masks to give oxygen to all of the animals.

Great story. Makes me feel good being a firefighter seeing my brothers doing this. Here's another cool story I read on another fourm earlier.
