"Yes, let's create a group to maybe look at possibly doing something."

Greenbelt must be the Marxist overflow pit for Takoma Park.

Why not their asian residents? Or sharecropper descendents? Hell, I just moved to Maryland two decades ago where are my reparations for putting up with y'all?

having growing up about 2 miles from the Greenbelt Mecca, I am scratching my head about this. Did you know the city was planned on Elinore Roosevelt's idea of an art deco, typical socialist, new era city? It was built primarily for US Govt. workers in Washington DC, a short commute. There were income limits and segregated housing, not by race, no, by income. If one was a low income worker you lived in the stucco hen houses, walkways to the shopping center and of course a cement buddah. The population was predominantly Jewish. So, who is due reparations? The Rosenbergs that were executed for being spies?

I think it was pushed by the 'greater' Greenbelt area, not the 'old town' Greenbelt.

I am pretty familiar with the Greenbelt townhouses, and I can say that most people who live there cannot afford to live anywhere else. If they could they would leave.

They should pay reparations to the people who live there for ripping them off for the fee's they charge them to live in those rat traps.

My aunt and uncle lived in old town Greenbelt. (He had a PhD in Ag but I don't remember if he worked at "the farm" or at UMd.) I thought that was the coolest place with all the walkways going everywhere.

Do they still have all the Soviet style workers embossed in concrete on the buildings?
