According to a statement released by the Blaine Police Department Monday, the incident occurred Dec. 6 after the couple placed their grocery order from Cub Foods through the Instacart delivery service. They told police that when they got a notification indicating the delivery driver had arrived, they went outside to meet them because they were worried the driver might get stuck in the driveway due to large amounts of snow.

The couple says they opened their door to the delivery person driving back and forth in the driveway, and yelling for them to check the inside of their Christmas wreath. The wreath produced the receipt from their grocery order, allegedly containing a derogatory message.

When the driver left, the couple says they found that their groceries had been run over in the driveway.

Police say after reviewing the message on the receipt, it appeared the driver took those actions because of the law enforcement sign.

"It's unfortunate that someone would have that kind of strong feelings that they would do that to an innocent elderly couple out here," said Podany.

It's a pretty strange story.
The poice are investigating it and the guy has been fired, and the store replaced the grocery's.

Why the go fund me.
They lost nothing but some time and aggravation do they really need the $7,000 dollar go fund me?

The GoFundMe goal was only $500, not $7,000. So it was over pledged by other people. What's your point?

8,500 now..

"We never dreamed we would have such an incredible response to our story. We cannot even begin to express how grateful we are. We started this fundraiser as a way to raise money for groceries. And now it has become so much bigger!

We are able to set my relatives up with groceries and grocery delivery for the foreseeable future. And in something of a Christmas miracle, we can now use these funds to pay off current and upcoming medical costs.

My relatives have also expressed that they would like to use a portion of this fundraiser to give back to the community. We will update again when we know which community cause or organization they choose.

Thank you again for your continued support. We read each and every message and can feel the outpouring of love. Thank you all for being incredible human beings and reminding us that evil doesn’t get to win when there is this much love to fight it.

Wishing you all a blessed holidays
❤"

So, the idiot driver destroyed the groceries in a fit of rage over their support for a group the driver disliked.
Question for the prosecutors: Why isn't this being handled as a hate crime? The criminals' actions obviously exhibited hate.
Maybe slapping a few felonies onto these types of actions will discourage these actions in the future? Or maybe not, but at least the paying field gets evened out a little.

This driver should be doxxed, this bullshit should work both ways. I'd love to see his car pelted with tomatoes and eggs.

After the embarrassment and financial loss he cost the grocer, it'd be far better if no one in the town ever gave him a job again. I'm sure he's already prepped for a criminal career.

Just remember, if your slash all four tires the insurance company will pay for four new tires. But if you only slash two the insurance company wont pay for them. Or so I've been told.
When I was an Explorer Scout leader, found out a couple of my boys roamed shopping center parking lots looking for non-handicapped folks who parked in handicapped slots. They'd use a claw hammer to pop the valve stems out.

In all honesty. This is something that should be re-visited.
Like Chris Rock said in one of his comedy specials.. "I don't AGREE with it, but I UNDERSTAND!"

Did you give them a merit badge?

Instacart driver ran over groceries because of Blue Lives Matter flag

Plus also allegedly left a profane note, above, in the couple's Christmas wreath.

Plum, above, was supposedly reacting to the couple's Blue Lives Matter flag.
