Ok "Employee Pricing" has become the annoying buzz word of 2005. Tiger Direct, online computer store is now having an "employee price" sale. I hope this sales gimmick just goes away.
Sales and discounts are always a bad thingczygvtwkr said:Ok "Employee Pricing" has become the annoying buzz word of 2005. Tiger Direct, online computer store is now having an "employee price" sale. I hope this sales gimmick just goes away.
GM had to do something. Last I heard Harley-Davidson was worth more than GM!tirdun said:GM started the trend, and they were actually being somewhat honest about the prices. They couldn't compete and took a desperate move to get publicity and people into showrooms. They are losing money on most sales, hoping to make it up in financing deals and "premium" car sales. Note that the high-end sports cars and big trucks don't make the list of discounted sales.
Ford had to pick up the trend to compete, and boom:new sales buzz-word. There's certainly no rule/reg on using the term to mean what it implies.
