Grundig TK46 Reel-to-Reel tape player

I couldn't find which thread this best fits in, so I'll try here. Dug out an old Grundig TK46 Reel-to-Reel tape player plus a whole box of reels. Thought I'd make it a small project to go through them and digitize some stuff for archival, but the Grundig's got some issues that make it difficult to use.

Power switch looks to be completely shot (the gear mechanism that operates it is completely cracked/stripped and doesn't function), one of the upper drive gears rattles a lot, and the third one is probably the fact I have no idea how to properly thread these things.

I figured the best way to start was to see if anyone knew of local shops around the SoMD area that might know how to repair machines of this age or nature. Get the power switch fixed, maybe have the vacuum tubes checked and the motors and gears greased up. Manuals I can find online it looks (not for free, unfortunately), and those might help with the third problem.

Thanks!

The only place off of the top of my head who would even know where to start would be DBF Electronics in Waldorf - Phone: 301-645-6110

Thanks! They said they don't do reel-to-reel repairs, but they can do digitization. So if I can't get the Grundig repaired, it sounds like I have an alternate route to getting these reels checked out.
