Just one of 50 or so police officers who will be injured by they civilians they are sworn to protect this year. Wake me when that number exceeds 1,000 — which is around the number of civilians killed by police annually.

Maybe you should go to the funeral if you care so much.

Memphis is having problems with Law Enforcement Officers.
I know this is probably wrong but to me anyone who would apply for a job as a Police Officer in Memphis, Chicago, or Baltimore has to be regarded as not totally sane.

You would be working for a city that will not back you up in the least.
They would toss you to the dogs in a CYA type minute.
You would be dealing with people who hate you because you represent the law.
You would be a target for the media.
The Mayors of these cities depend on the votes of the criminals you are supposed to keep in check, and they would dump on you in a minute.

Its not just the criminals, its their family & friends who don't want to see them in jail that vote for the people who won't jail them.

The good cops have walked off. What's left and what's applying are the damaged chromosome types who want to bust some heads and bang hookers for free. People you wouldn't trust to run your McDonald's drive-thru.

But the good news is that Republican run cities (like mine) are getting some terrific cops who escaped from New York. :yay: The standards are higher because they can be to attract talent, while urban shitholes have to take what dregs they can get.

In a way you are right. Some cities even take people who were previously convicts.
Pushing this diversity crap has filled Police and Fire Departments with people that are not the best. It's become a quota system. So many women, so many blacks ,fill the quota, whites need not apply.
