Social media users are sounding off after a person allegedly received more than $3,000 for turning in “ghost guns” at the gun buyback program hosted by Houston and Harris County officials over the weekend.

As the entities making the purchases were not the original owners, have long thought it disingenuous at best to call these "Buybacks."

How can they buy back something that was never theirs in the first place? Unfortunately the guns they got off the street were ones unlikely to be used in a crime.

Really? Go look it up on youtube. They go in guns out yelling for him to get down, he of course doesn't and starts yelling he is a federal agent, so they take him down and then the ATF guy turns into a combination of the "Don't Tase me Bro" guy and Eric Garner (I can't breathe). Then they taze him.

After all the illegal, immoral and unethical activity of the ATF over the years, not to mention the dog killings, that sounds like an enjoyable video.
