New ATF Regulations Turn Every Nerf Gun into an 80% Receiver?

00MEAT has a detailed overview of his DIY 22LR adapter for the Nerf pistol and is challenging the ATF to properly identify the receiver portion of the firearm.
There we go. Every nerf gun is now an 80% or greater receiver. If you have a kid with a nerf gun, please let the ATF know you don’t want your kid charged with purchasing a firearm while under 21.

Nerf .22 adapter has been redesigned some. It doesn't have to be good, it just has to be viable enough to make every foam dart gun everywhere into an 80% receiver. MWahahhahaha

Gavin Newsom Rages, Makes False Claims After Federal Judge Strikes Down California’s ‘Unconstitutional’ Gun Ban

“The banned ‘assault weapons’ are not bazookas, howitzers, or machineguns,” Benitez wrote. “Those arms are dangerous and solely useful for military purposes. Instead, the firearms deemed ‘assault weapons’ are fairly ordinary, popular, modern rifles.”

“One is to be forgiven if one is persuaded by news media and others that the nation is awash with murderous AR-15 assault rifles. The facts, however, do not support this hyperbole, and facts matter,” Benitez continued. “Federal Bureau of Investigation murder statistics do not track assault rifles, but they do show that killing by knife attack is far more common than murder by any kind of rifle. In California, murder by knife occurs seven times more often than murder by rifle. For example, according to F.B.I. statistics for 2019, California saw 252 people murdered with a knife, while 34 people were killed with some type of rifle – not necessarily an AR-15. A Californian is three times more likely to be murdered by an attacker’s bare hands, fists, or feet, than by his rifle. In 2018, the statistics were even more lopsided as California saw only 24 murders by some type of rifle. The same pattern can be observed across the nation.”

Benitez said that the case was “about what should be a muscular constitutional right and whether a state can force a gun policy choice that impinges on that right with a 30-year-old failed experiment.”

“Government is not free to impose its own new policy choices on American citizens where Constitutional rights are concerned,” Benitez wrote. “California may certainly conceive of a policy that a modern rifle is dangerous in the hands of a criminal, and that therefore it is good public policy to keep modern rifles out of the hands of every citizen,” Benitez continued. “The Second Amendment stands as a shield from government imposition of that policy. There is only one policy enshrined in the Bill of Rights. Guns and ammunition in the hands of criminals, tyrants and terrorists are dangerous; guns in the hands of lawabiding responsible citizens are better. To give full life to the core right of self-defense, every law-abiding responsible individual citizen has a constitutionally protected right to keep and bear firearms commonly owned and kept for lawful purposes.”

What they don't say is 6 out of 10 lives lost to guns are by suicide. Without guns those people would find another way, like using a vehicle.
Interesting that gun deaths are almost equal to vehicle deaths now. Maybe they should wear those orange vests to protest the highway workers killed because people drive like idiots?

San Jose mayor rolls out new gun control proposal days after railyard mass shooting

California has more gun restrictions on the books than any other state, but the mayor of San Jose wants to add ten more. California's third-largest city will take up a proposal to, among other things, require gun stores to audio and video record gun sales, require proof of liability insurance for all gun owners and implement a tax to cover costs associated with gun violence.

"With council approval San Jose would become the first city in the United States to require every gun owner to have liability insurance coverage for their firearms, to incentivize safer behavior from gun owners and importantly, to compensate injured victims," Mayor Sam Liccardo told a crowd gathered Wednesday near the site of the city's latest mass shooting at the Valley Transportation Authority railyard. "Second, San Jose would become the first U.S. city to require gun owners to pay a fee to compensate taxpayers for the public cost of responding to gun violence."

"Skeptics will say that criminals will not obey either of these mandates," said Liccardo. "And they're absolutely correct. Of course, they won't. Crooks don't follow the law. That's an important feature of these proposals, not a defect. Together, these rules create a constitutionally compliant mechanism to enable law enforcement to impound guns from high-risk individuals unwilling to follow the law."

How about a tax on cars or at the DMV or on Liquor to offset the cost of drunk drives, additional taxes on hammers to offset the cost of people beaten to death

none of the proposed new regulations would have stopped the rail yard shooting

Missouri Blocks Enforcement Of Federal Gun Control Laws That Violate Second Amendment Rights As Biden Pursues Gun Agenda

“The new law allows state gun laws to surpass federal gun laws and holds police departments liable if an officer violates someone’s second amendment rights,” FOX 4 reported. “If someone’s second amendment right is violated, local law enforcement could pay $50,000.”

Parson, a former sheriff, said that the law “draws a line in the sand and demonstrates our commitment to reject any attempt by the federal government to circumvent the fundamental right Missourians have to keep and bear arms to protect themselves and their property.”

School Board Members Want Public Schools To Push For Gun Bans, Requirements For Parents

The proposal calls on the state to enact “comprehensive gun violence prevention legislation,” including universal background checks, a ban on assault-style weapons, and increased funding for gun dealer oversight. It justified the taxpayer-funded educational institution’s lobbying on hot-button social issues by saying it related to “student achievement” because “Providing a safe learning environment is essential.”

[clip]

The proposal also includes a “Students Rights & Responsibilities” form that details an existing Virginia law requiring gun-owning parents to protect minors from easily accessing the guns. Parents would be required to sign the form “acknowledging awareness of these legal obligations” including “the importance of asking about secure firearm storage in homes that my child visits.”

Sample-Form--300x248.png

Journalist Stephen Gutowski, the founder of The Reload, told The Daily Wire the letter seemed “vaguely threatening and patronizing,” especially as the school board is actively promoting a slew of gun-control measures. He also noted that parents are aware of the two school board member’s agenda to pass restrictive gun measures, making it more difficult for gun-owning parents to connect with the board.

“Certainly, making sure children don’t have unsupervised access to firearms is a hallmark of responsible gun ownership,” Gutowski said. “But the school board taking the unusual step of sending a vaguely threatening and patronizing letter to parents would be more likely to sow distrust among gun-owning parents than produce any positive results.”

Cameron Smith: Biden’s gun restrictions have a Baltimore problem

In recent remarks on his gun violence prevention strategy, President Joe Biden highlighted Baltimore’s homicide track record as a driver for federal gun control legislation. In reality, the city clearly demonstrates that banning “assault weapons” and expanding background checks are solutions that fail to understand the problem.

Baltimore has a significant homicide problem alongside some of the toughest gun laws in the country.

According to David Collins, a reporter for WBALTV in Baltimore, the city “has recorded more than 300 homicides each year for the past six years” and is on pace to do it again this year. Baltimore routinely ranks among the cities with the highest homicide rates in the nation.

From registration of handguns to magazine size restrictions to an “assault weapons” ban, Maryland has some of the most strident gun restrictions in America. Baltimore County adds a few more layers with respect to minors interacting with firearms and storage of firearms and ammunition.

Biden and the gun control crowd view these realities as evidence that America needs more gun restrictions at the federal level. Maryland’s gun laws haven’t reduced crime in Baltimore, but Biden and many Democrats believe that expanding those laws nationwide will do the trick. It won’t work because the problems aren’t related to scary guns or paperwork.

Pennsylvania Democrats to Propose Bullet Tax and Encoded Rounds to Track Ammo Owners

The tax would fund a state police database of ammunition sold in Pennsylvania.

The planned legislation would require ammunition manufacturers to encode ammunition provided for retail sale in Pennsylvania, and to provide ammunition serial numbers to the Pennsylvania State Police for the ammunition database. The plan was revealed in a joint memo to the state legislature by Guzman and Kinsey.

“Since 2015, only 21% of the nearly 8,500 shootings that Philadelphia has endured have resulted in an arrest or conviction,” the memo said. “Far too often, all that is left for the police to find is a victim and a bullet. By making the bullet a more useable piece of evidence, independent from the associated firearm, we can give our law enforcement officers the tools that they need to solve more of these heinous crimes.”

“By maintaining a record of purchases of ammunition,” the memo continues, “our law enforcement officers will be able to easily trace the ownership of any ammunition involved in a crime. This proposal is a much more reliable method of forensic tracing than current systems like ballistic fingerprinting, since determination of a bullet’s code does not require any special skills or equipment, and it serves as an objective identifier.”

Lets look at the real problem.
In the ghetto's of Democrat cities that are seeing the deaths of so many black people it isn't the guns that are the problem it is the black people who live there that is the problem.
They will never be witness in court against the killer, they never help the police in their investigations.. They know and in many cases are related to the killers, the drug dealers, the people who create this violence. Some are frightened, and some are profiting and receiving funds from their kids who are peddling the drugs. It won't stop until these people want it to stop.

Can you hear the uproar when the gun stores refuse to sell ammo to some skeevy black kid dressed like the cover of thug's life illustrated? "You refused to sell bullets to this fine upstanding young man who only wanted a box of 9mm to put meat on the table for his widowed mother and 8 brothers and sisters", your honor, we think this is an appalling case of racial animosity and would like a check for 1 million dollars.
