Yup, MD is a "May issue" state but should be called "May Not" unless you are connected polictically. The majority of states in the U.S. are "shall issue" which means you don't have to prove you need it, just prove that you are not ineligible for it.

And if even open carry were legal here, I doubt I'd do it. (unless it were widely done and accecpeted) You can bet trouble would come looking for you then.
