One of the best gun policies in the world is that of Israel, where the government will provide citizens with handguns and the training necessary to use them. And you don’t have to leave that gun at home when you go to pick up little Derek from preschool; guns are allowed everywhere in Israel. But should you forget to bring your Smith and Wesson with you, you can go to the local police department and they will let you borrow one of theirs. I’m sure many of you are thinking that this is ridiculous and that I have been desensitized to gun violence because I’ve been watching rated R films since I was seven. But what would you say if I were to tell you that because Israelis are allowed to carry guns, they were able to stop three terrorists who opened fire on a crowd with AK-47s? Can you imagine how much safer it would be to walk a block from your apartment in Fells Point to your favorite bar if you could stop by the precinct and borrow a Glock for the evening because you left yours in your other purse? For me, that would be awesome—if I had an apartment in Fells Point and a favorite bar.
Never happen, they wouldn't let you smoke. This part concerns me:

No drinkin' if your packin'. Otherwise a nicely researched and well thought out out read.
