Gymkhana this Weekend June 7th

Rocky Mountain High!!
On behalf or our Club, East Coast Rough Riders, I would like to invite you
(equestrian riders and spectators alike) to our 2nd Gymkhana this coming
weekend (Saturday, June 7th, 2008) @ the Oak Ridge Park Equestrian Center. The address is 13675 Oaks Road, Hughesville, MD 20637. See the attached flyer!

Currently, we have Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Plug Barrels and Relay Races
on the agenda. Several other equestrian pick-up games will be employed
depending on the crowd.

Note: All proceeds from this event will go towards hosting you at our Annual
Trail Ride at the end of this month. As always, we definitely appreciate
your support.

Thanks for reminding me!!! i think i am going, the classes are cheep enough, $7, and its a fun show so i dont have to be in HOT long sleeves.
Plus, i've been bugging mom that i need to go practice with Dee (the crazy one that dosnt turn well) with the hackamoore, and to get Bones out ( she wouldnt let me take him to MW, she didnt want to be holding 3 horses).
oh, and it starts at 10. I emailed for the info...

How'd it go out there. It was a hot one. and no shade too ugh!!!!

yeah, it was REALLY HOT. The two horses i had were sweating before we even got the saddles on them. The Qh i brought was sweating worse then my TB who hasnt been worked in two moths! What we did is, run, go to the begining of the trail and cool off in the shade until awards. I was proud of my TB, he worked really well, and he placed well. My QH i found out likes to run through bits, and an S hackamore... but shes not a run-away... just hard to stop/turn when shes going full speed. We left early, my mom was getting too hot.
