Strung Out
Ever wonder what the pros would shoot where we play and, conversely, what we'd shoot where they play? Well, so did Eki Saslow of the Post.

Steve Marino, who I admit I have not heard of even though he is from Fairfax, shot 68. He missed the cut at Oakmont, going 17 over for two rounds, 157, for 78.5 average.
So, 4 under to 8.5 over, 12.5 strokes a round harder in this unscientific study. I've played Hains once and shot something in the low 80's. I might have missed the cut at the Open as well.
Anyway, interesting read.
